Last night, the Senate waited for the Boehner bill to pass the House so Reid could then send it in to oblivion, but, Boehner (the Speaker of the House who can’t control his own caucus) didn’t have the votes to pass it in the House, and so cancelled the vote at the last minute. In the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) relayed the status of the bill that wasn’t, rather appropriately:
“I apologize to everyone for the late hour, but we've been waiting for the House to conduct their business and they're having trouble conducting it.”
