Nevertheless, Nabisco created a new flavor for the hundredth birthday of the Oreo cookie, and oh so cleverly named it “Birthday Cake Oreos”. Sheesh.
Still, they do look yummy with those little bits of colored candy embedded in the frosting (and I plan to get my hands on a box next trip to the supermarket). Craven pleasures.........
The box, once opened, has the scent of freshly baked Funfetti cake. “It tastes like a Care Bear threw up in my mouth, but in a good way,” Vanity Fair editorial assistant and culinary expert Alex Beggs said. The cookies themselves are sweeter than regular Oreos, likely due to the bits of rainbow sprinkles within the frosted center.
