Michael Steele is an idiot. His remarks about Afghanistan were such a
phenomenal train wreck, they'll definitely go down among the great
Republican episodes of modern day dumbstupid.
But Michael Steele isn't an outlier.
The Republicans Party is loaded similarly contradictory, backwards
and unapologetically ignorant stupids.
Rush Limbaugh, the party's de facto leader, is a serial racist.
Sarah Palin, the party's lead endorser and likely nominee in 2012,
couldn't accurately describe the role of the vice president -- while
running to take over that job. She also confused the Declaration of
Independence and the Constitution. Currently, her writing is no better
than the grade school notebook scribblings of a pre-teen, steeped in
unserious memes like "lamestream." The list goes on and on and on with
this one.

goes on about his support for reinstating DADT:When you're under fire, and people are living and dying on split-second decisions, you don't need any kind of amorous mindset that can affect saving people's lives and killing bad guys.
