I had no idea that there was bad blood between the Bush family, and Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX), and I’m thrilled to hear it, because Perry as a general election candidate worries me.

Howard Dean in an MSNBC interview on the intent of the Bush family towards Gov. Perry as a 2012 candidate for the GOP nomination:

“They know what they're doing, and they are ruthless, and they [Bush political team]  are going to take Perry out.”

Morning Quote: Howard Dean

In a phone call with Politico’s Roger Simon on November 3, Howard Dean was adamant about what compromise did not mean:

If Republicans think we're going to slow the growth of Medicare and Medicaid and give tax cuts to those making a million dollars a year, we will wrap that around their necks and beat the hell out of them in 2012

My guess is that the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy will be extended along with those for small business and the middle class during the lame duck session, or we will see yet another Republican filibuster, as has been the norm for the Republican members of the 111th Congress.

Morning Joe Scarborough Caught in a Blatant Lie

On Morning Joe today, after getting some flack regarding his lack of attention to the One Nation rally, Scarbough said that he doesn’t pay attention to rallies. .

The Political Carnival quickly caught him out in his lie, via a simple Google search, video posted below.

The man is a moron. The video features Scarborough talking Glenn Beck’s rally, which of course, gives the lie to his statement today regarding the One Nation rally.

And by the way, on the video clip, they’re claiming that there were 500,000 attendees at Beck’s rally on August 28. Not so. The number is 87,000.
